The Patient Participation Group has met several times during the year and has run a survey to look at attitudes in those patients who are in a designated at-risk group for the flu vaccination but do not take advantage of the invitation to have an immunisation. This is of interest to the Practice because each year the Department of Health sets targets for flu immunisations. As with all vaccination programmes the immunisation not only protects the individual but if many people participate it reduces the chance of the disease spreading in the population and there is a benefit to everybody. The full details of the survey its background, results and actions are contained in the full report which can be accessed via the link below.
